One of our main goals at Stryder is to always be involved with the community in some capacity, whether it’s supporting sporting events, non-profit organizations, or local programs that give back to those in need. We’re also committed to making a difference – looking after the environment, charity sponsoring and raising awareness for regional support groups is only the beginning!

Proud Sponsor of The Women’s Trucking Federation of Canada. WTFC is a network of women created for women to empower, expand and retain employment of — and shift attitudes about — women in the industry and beyond. This includes supporting the industry with issues around training, safety, career progression, education, mentoring, and more.
Established in 2015, WTFC has a significant, and loyal membership and following of women and men in the industry — from drivers to carrier executives.

Truck Spotting with Canuck Place

Stryder and Canuck Place Children’s Hospice are proud to present the “Truck Spotting” mobile visual awareness campaign, where we’ve placed photos and messages on trucks and trailers that will travel as far south as Oregon and as far east as Manitoba.

Canuck Place is North America’s first free-standing children’s hospice, dedicated to providing pediatric, palliative care for youth with progressive life-threatening illnesses.

SEMO Foundation and Stryder support the disadvantaged in the community
SEMO Foundation

Stryder is one of the primary sponsors of the SEMO Foundation, a non-profit group dedicated to raising awareness and support for local registered charities. Donations go towards disadvantaged individuals and families who need a helping hand when it comes to food, clothing, and shelter.

CIBC Run for the Cure

Stryder was proud to be a participant donor and sponsor of the CIBC Run for The Cure, a 5-km or 1-km walk or run that raises funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, and is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada in support of the breast cancer cause.

Stryder donated $1,000 to the charitable Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta in 2019, where team members participated in the 20th annual Strathmore Poker Run and “Shave Your Lid for a Kid” event in support of children and families affected by the disease.

Water for Greater Vancouver Food Bank

Stryder partnered with Nestle Waters Canada to donate over 10,000 cases of bottled water & water beverages to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank’s new location in Burnaby. Since 1983, the GVFB has continued to provide assistance to over 28,000 people weekly, by helping address immediate needs associated with food insecurity in our communities.

Stryder USA gets SQF Certified
We are proud to announce that our Stryder USA facility in Kent Washington is now SQF Certified. The Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program is a rigorous and credible food safety and quality program that is recognized by retailers, brand owners, and food service providers world-wide. Recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the SQF family of food safety and quality codes are designed to meet industry, customer, and regulatory requirements for all sectors of the food supply chain – from the farm all the way to the retail stores.

RCMSAR Search and Rescue Awareness for the community

Stryder and its advertising subsidiary 360 Media teamed up to donate to the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue campaign.

Based out of Sooke, BC, this campaign space was donated to increase awareness of RCMSAR in the Lower Mainland.

Cystic Fibrosis Golf Tournament sponsored by Stryder and the community
Mike Cassidy Legacy Cystic Fibrosis Golf Tournament

Stryder was one of the main sponsors in the Mike Cassidy Legacy Cystic Fibrosis Golf Tournament, the largest privately generated source of funds for Cystic Fibrosis Canada in British Columbia, raising over $2.5 million.

This charity golf tournament honors the legacy of Mike Cassidy who founded the event in 1992 and passed away in 2010.
